Rebates, Tax Credits, and Money-saving Incentives

A.J. Michaels is a Maryland Home Performance with Energy Star Contractor and certified by the Building Performance Institute to evaluate whole home performance. As such we can offer rebates, incentives, special financing and services that very few Air Conditioning and Heating Contractors are able to do.

In 2008 the Maryland Legislature passed the EmPowerment Maryland Energy Efficiency Act which mandated that the Maryland Energy Administration, working with utilities statewide and the contractor community, develop energy saving programs. Its purpose is to reduce the demand on our electrical grid in order to prevent severe electrical shortages and rolling black outs in the not to distant future without the need to build new power plants.

These initiatives are providing you with the unique opportunity to make your home more energy efficient, more comfortable, and considerably lower your monthly operating costs for a substantially reduced investment.

Here is a list of the currently available programs.

The Maryland Energy Administration and Baltimore Gas and Electric, also have substantial separate rebates for their programs, which can be combined. For simplicity we are quoting the combined available rebates. Delmarva Power and Pepco also have slightly different variations of the same programs.

The reality is that you can receive over $8,000 in rebates just for making your home more energy efficient. With a low interest Maryland Home Energy Loan most customers save more than the monthly payment cost.
